Reservation and Cancellations
Reservations
All trips require a deposit for a confirmed reservation. Once payment is made, you will receive a written confirmation within 24-48hrs from Zirkel The World. To ensure space, we recommend making your reservation as soon as possible.
Payment Balance
Any trip under $400, the balance must be paid in full 7 days prior to the start of the trip or your space may be forfeited.
Any trip more than $400, the balance must be paid in full 4 weeks (domestic trip) 6 weeks (international trip) prior to the start of the trip or your space may be forfeited.
The remaining balance of any trip can be paid in full with cash, check, or credit card(+4%)
Checks can be written out to Zirkel The World and mailed to:

If you wish to pay the balance with credit card, please email teresa@zirkeltheworld.com, and a link will be sent via email. A 4% surcharge will be added for all balance payments with credit cards.
Refunds and Cancellations
Non-Airfare Trip Refund
Full refund (minus $15 processing fee) will be given for cancellations with at least two weeks notice.
A full trip credit will be given with one weeks notice.
No credit will be given for cancellations within a week from the trip.
Airfare Trip Refund
If you must cancel before departure, money will be returned less the cancellation fees as follows:
LAND CANCELLATION FEES PER PERSON/PER TRIP
Some trips require different cancellation fees from those listed above. These differences will be noted on the trip specific itineraries.
Departure is defined as the trip departure date as indicated on the trip itinerary. Cancellation and determination of cancellation fee is effective on the date of receipt of your written notification. In addition, you are responsible for all airfare cancellation penalties,which are not included above. Payments due at the time of cancellation remain the responsibility of the client.
No partial refunds are possible for unused hotel rooms, air or land travel, trekking days or other sight-seeing arrangements included in the land cost. Deposits or cancellation costs cannot be applied as credit to future trips. Zirkel The World strongly recommends you purchase trip insurance including trip cancellation and interruption insurance, which may reimburse you for cancellation penalties and extra trip expenses should a circumstance covered by the policy force you to cancel or interrupt your trip. In the event Zirkel The World cancels a trip, for any reason, ALL money for services described in the trip itinerary, less airline ticket cancellation fees will be refunded.
